Mission 21 is connected to 70 partner churches and Christian organisations all over the world. The joint efforts for a peaceful and just world and for the preservation of the creation find expression in approximately 100 programmes and projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The focal points of Mission 21’s work in the south are the securing of people’s livelihoods, church and congregation building, peace work, theological formation and further education as well as fair trade. Our ecumenical co-workers are working towards these goals. They see themselves as building bridges between cultures and religions. The so-called «cross-sectional topics» capacity building, gender equality and the fight against HIV/AIDS are integrated into all projects as far as this is possible. In addition to the projects in individual partner countries, there is a range of global programmes, such as the scholarship programme and the fund for the advancement of women, which offer support on an international level.
