About us

We practise Christian fellowship throughout the world mission 21, protestant mission basel, Missionsstrasse 21, was founded on January 1st, 2001 through the association of five missions. The Basel Mission, the Evangelic Mission in the Kwango area, the Moravian Mission and the South Africa Mission are the supporting associations of mission 21 since January 1st 2007. mission 21 nurtures long-term relationships with 57 partner churches and organizations in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. Its chief tasks are: - Cooperative long-term relationships with churches and organizations in 17 countries
- Development of international Christian churches network: theological training and congregation building, theological and ecumenical exchange
- Projects to fight poverty, work for peace and health, Aids and HIV prevention, scholarships
- Exchange visits as a bridge between cultures and churches
- Promotion of intercultural and interreligious competence
- Short-term projects, missiological themes and events, provision of speakers, archive and library
