Content: Two women on a dusty road, hand in hand and engrossed in conversation. This is how Mission 21's campaign film shows Elizabeth Deng and Elizabeth Nyayuk in South Sudan.
An unusual picture, because the women belong to opposing camps. The Nuer and Dinka ethnic groups are fighting each other, and their conflict has engulfed the country in violence since 2013.
Elizabeth Deng is a Dinka, Elizabeth Nyayuk a Nuer. Nevertheless, they work together for peace. They make encounters possible and help other people to overcome prejudices.
With their friendship, they themselves are the best proof that this is possible.
DVD movie: "Out there with the heathens".

Play with scenes on mission, racism and slavery.
The dialect play, which premiered in the fall of 2015, takes a critical look at the 19th century: It tells the exciting life story of the missionary couple Johannes Zimmermann and Catherine Mulgrave. The Swiss involvement in slavery is addressed as well as the racist view of humanity of the science of the time. Accompanied by live music, the play does not shy away from building bridges to the present and stimulating further thought.
