PUCA, Protestant University of Central Africa
The Yaoundé Faculty of Protestant Theology is an ecumenical institution. Since 1961, it has trained Reformed, Lutheran, Baptist, Presbyterian, Adventist and Catholic theology students from many different countries and churches throughout French-speaking Africa. In this way, it makes a critical contribution not only to the development of the individual churches but also to theological exchange and ecumenical dialogue across the entire region. The Faculty offers four study courses to its students, who number about 150. For some years, a two-year theological training programme has also been in place for laypeople who wish to become better qualified for community work.
