Mission Synod 2019

On the occasion of the 10th Mission Synod, the international community of Mission 21 met in Basel from June 26 to 30. We were pleased to welcome numerous participants at the public events. Several events focused on current topics of development cooperation. A highlight was the festive farewell of the director of Mission 21, Claudia Bandixen, on the Friendship and Encounter Day. The service with the inauguration of the new director, Jochen Kirsch, on Sunday was also festive, followed by a mission festival. The Synod 2019 worked on the main theme "Arise and become ... peace ... justice ... ".
