With its Campaign 2025, Mission 21 is specifically committed to promoting peace and justice through interreligious and transcultural cooperation.

The campaign is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 16, which aims to promote peaceful, just and inclusive societies. In light of the challenges posed by climate change, social inequality and growing global tensions, Mission 21 will focus on conflict prevention, peaceful conflict resolution, psychosocial support, forgiveness and reconciliation.

Mission 21 recognizes the crucial role of religions and dialogue between different faiths and cultures in helping to resolve conflicts and promote a life of dignity for all. Particular emphasis is placed on work in countries such as Nigeria, South Sudan and various regions of Asia, where peacebuilding, conflict prevention and the fight against radicalization are key.

Targets for 2025

Through targeted campaigns and awareness-raising work, Mission 21 aims to raise awareness of the importance of peace and tolerance and reach even more people. Interreligious and intercultural peacebuilding is a key element in shaping a sustainable and harmonious future.

Your support and participation

Mission 21 invites parishes to actively participate in the campaign and support the peace-building measures.
