The WGRDI has also been registered as a nonprofit organization since 2015. The organization carries out projects in Nigeria and is headquartered in Jos, in Plateau State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In particular, it is committed to empowering women and girls to effectively harness their inner strengths and potential. The goal is for them to become recognized and active members of their communities, where they can exert a positive influence and contribute to peacebuilding and national development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The organization aims to strengthen communities' capacities in order to promote peace and development. To this end, the communities' needs are carefully assessed with a view to determining how they can be socially empowered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The organization has experienced program officers who are capable of effectively implementing projects. The organization's programs focus on victims of violent conflicts and terrorism, as well as on humanitarian aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Vision \u2013 Mission \u2013 Goals<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In collaboration with Mission 21, WGRDI aims to empower women and girls to prevent abuse and marginalization and to promote their participation in Nigeria\u2019s peace process and development. Women and girls are supported on their journey toward self-actualization and self-determination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To this end, awareness campaigns on reproductive health and reproductive rights are being conducted, and partnerships with local health clinics are being established. In addition, 50,000 women and girls are to be trained in the production and distribution of reusable menstrual pads in Nigeria (RUMP project).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Awareness-raising programs aimed at preventing gender-based violence are being implemented in the communities, and social services that support victims of gender-based violence are being supported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To promote peace, even more women will be trained and encouraged to become actively involved in local peace committees throughout Nigeria. In conflict-ridden communities in Nigeria, discussion groups are being established to resolve conflicts and promote reconciliation. \u00abPeace clubs\u00bb will also be established in secondary schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A broad campaign aims to provide vocational training to tens of thousands of women and young people, as well as access to microloans and entrepreneurship training, with the goal of increasing their
