The role of the Protestant Church Federation in Indonesia (PGI) is more important than in other countries, as it represents a religious minority in a Muslim country with a high level of social control. As the representative body of the Protestant<\/span>*inside<\/span>In Indonesia, the PGI has an important consultative role with the government. The PGI is very keen to actively shape and promote interreligious dialog and has already implemented several projects on interreligious peacebuilding.\u00a0<\/span>initiated. <\/span><\/span>Mission<\/span>\u00a021 has a long relationship with the PGI (founded in 1950), which was established after the Second World War by the working group of the Indonesian Federation of Churches and the\u00a0<\/span>European missionary societies (<\/span>Eukumindo<\/span>)\u00a0<\/span>was established. The relationship between the Basel Mission (now Mission 21) and the CIP was formally recognized in 1993 when the CIP became a member of the Asian Fellowship, an association of the Basel Mission's partner organizations in Asia.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mission 21 supports interfaith cooperation for peace and justice as well as the new program to support\u00a0<\/span>Migrant workers\u00a0<\/span>and the prevention of human trafficking. As an umbrella organization of over 80 Protestant churches, the PGI is also involved in the area of anti-corruption and good governance with the support of Mission 21.\u00a0<\/span>The CIP is responsible for arranging visas for ecumenical employees of Mission 21 in Indonesia.\u00a0<\/span>Mission 21 has a long-standing relationship with the PGI, which is very well networked both nationally and internationally.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
