The war in Ukraine is causing massive suffering. First and foremost, the people who are suffering directly from Russia's attacks are affected. But the effects are also being felt more and more drastically on a global scale. Rising prices for food and raw materials are hitting those people hardest who are already disadvantaged. Over 300 million Africans are at risk of hunger.<\/p>\n

At the same time, however, it is currently difficult to collect donations for Africa. This reports the newspaper \"reformed.\"<\/a> in its new issue. At Mission 21, donations from private individuals fell by a third in March compared with the same period last year. Spokesman Christoph R\u00e1cz is quoted as saying, \"We are stepping up efforts to ensure that the need in Africa in particular is not forgotten.\"<\/p>\n

Donors' attention is currently particularly focused on Ukraine. A lot of support is needed there. At the same time, it is important that other regions are not forgotten.
