It is the first time since the end of the colonial era that a national leader from sub-Saharan Africa has come to Switzerland on a state visit.<\/p>\n<p>The visit is also significant for Mission 21. Ghana was the first country in Africa where the missionaries of the Basel Mission (today the largest supporting association of Mission 21) became permanently active.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cocoa in Ghana thanks to Basel missionary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The preview of the SRF radio program <em>Echo of time<\/em>&nbsp;shows that gold and cocoa are Ghana's most important exports to Switzerland.
