Protests involving millions of people have been taking place since June<em>. <\/em>In his assessment, Tobias Brandner, on the one hand, somewhat de-dramatizes the media reports here, and on the other hand, he shows how significant the current events are for Hong Kong and the world. \"We don't buy emergency supplies, nor do we stay at home scared,\" Tobias Brandner writes, \"you can live well in Hong Kong without noticing anything of the protests.\" However, he also writes, \"The last few months have brought an unprecedented level of violence for Hong Kong.\" This emanated from both sides, he said. And further: <span style=\"background-color:#ffffff; color:#333333\">\"<\/span>Of great concern is that China, through its media, is fomenting hatred of Hong Kong's protest movement (and, in some
