His students at the theological seminary in Sabah (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mission-21.org\/en\/partner\/sts-theological-seminary-in-sabah\/\">STS<\/a>) are interested in teaching, but are hardly politically active, says the international staff member of Mission 21. The students in Latin America, whom he taught during a recent stay in Peru and Costa Rica, are quite different. \"Unlike the majority of my Malaysian students, the Peruvian students* have a strong political identity.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His trip to Latin America was a return for Daniel Gloor: From 2010 to 2013, he taught on behalf of the Basel Mission as a lecturer at the Universidad B\u00edblica Latinoamericana (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mission-21.org\/en\/partner\/ubl-latin-american-bible-university\/\">UBL<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mission-21.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/rundbrief-gloor-mai-2023.pdf\" data-type=\"attachment\" data-id=\"8659\">Newsletter <\/a>Daniel Gloor talks about his encounters in Latin America, which were exciting and not always harmonious.
