Her doctoral research was transdisciplinary, bringing together the worlds of education and theology to better understand the role churches play in both upholding and challenging dominant power relations relating to race, gender and class. Thandi\u2019s interests include black theology, liberation theology, social justice, education and the arts \u2013 particularly poetry. She has broad experience working across multiple sites, including churches, universities, high schools and community organisations.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 28%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p><strong>Rev. Dr. Scotty J. Williams<\/strong> Rev. Dr. Scotty J. Williams is a Presbyterian pastor-theologian from the Louisiana who currently serves as Lead Pastor of the American Protestant Church of Den Haag. Before moving to the Netherlands he served international congregations in his home country and Switzerland, and worked in the Evangelical Reformed Church of Canton St. Gallen. In addition to pastoring he has taught as a guest professor and lecturer at the Universities of Basel, St. Gallen and Z\u00fcrich. Scotty\u2019s interests range from Black American History and Theology to the folklore and art of his people.
