At least four billion people around the world regard the Bible or the Koran as Holy Scripture. The way we understand their messages has a huge impact. Are they more likely to motivate us to withdraw from the world? Or to work for survival? What gives us hope?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two recognized experts, a Christian theologian from Asia and a Muslim theologian from Africa, will talk about how they understand the Bible and the Koran in the current situation and in their contexts. A warm invitation to an intercultural exchange <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rev. Prof. Dr. Septemmy Eucharistia Lakawa <\/strong>is Professor of Mission Studies, Trauma Theology and Feminist Theology at Sekolah Tinggi Filsafat Theologi Jakarta (Jakarta Theological Seminary). She has published a book titled \"Kemurahhatian dan Trauma: Imajinasi Baru Misi Kristiani\" (Compassion and Trauma: A New Imagination of Christian Mission) (2022) and numerous articles, including one titled \"Toward a Blue Missiology: Theological Education as Eco-missional Formation\" (Transformation: An International Journal of Holistic Mission Studies, 2023). Her research focus for the period 2025-2027 is on the topic of religion and sustainability, which she is mainly working on in Indonesia. For September\/October 2025, she received a research fellowship at the University of M\u00fcnster, Germany. She is also a visiting scholar at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Chicago, USA, from November 2025 to January 2026.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Haruna Zagoon-Sayeed <\/strong>is a Senior Lecturer at the Department for the Study of Religions, University of Ghana, Legon, Accra, and Executive Director of the Baraka Policy Institute (BPI), a policy research think tank on social justice and the development of underprivileged people at the margins of society. He is a politcal consultant and a researcher in fields of religion and education, Muslim-Christian relations, youth development and peacebuilding. He obtained a PhD in Religion and Peacebuilding from University of Birmingham, UK. His research thesis was entitled: \"Islam and Peacebuilding in the Context of the Muslim Community in Ghana\". Dr. Zagoon is a Consultant for the drafting of National Policy on Religion under the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs of the Republic of Ghana. He serves on many boards in Ghana and beyond.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n<\/div>
