Would you like to meet young people from all over the world, learn more about other cultures and broaden your personal horizons in the process?
The Youth Ambassador Program of young@mission21 makes it possible! The program offers participants from Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America the opportunity to get to know each other, explore pressing issues in a globalised world and look for solutions together.
In the first year of the three-year programme, you will prepare for your exchange in Africa, Asia or Latin America together with other youth ambassadors. You will deal with pressing issues such as peace, justice, education, environmental protection or intercultural sensitivity. In the second year, you will experience local ways of life and gain an insight into the worldwide church. In addition, you will get to know Mission 21's development cooperation projects. In the third year, youth ambassadors from Africa, Asia and Latin America travel to Switzerland. As a host, you will discuss topics that move you with them. Make international friends, acquire transcultural skills and pass on your experience to those around you. Become a youth ambassador for young@mission21!

Short assignments - Up and away
Take three months out to plunge into a project run by one of Mission 21's partner institutions, and gain enriching insights into social, cultural and religious facets of your host country.
Do you want to break away from your usual surroundings in Switzerland and experience a new way of living at first hand? On a short assignment, you'll discover what a foreign country is really like – away from the tourist hotspots. Are you open to new challenges (which could also be in a church context), are you between 18 and 22 years old, and do you speak adequate English? If so, please contact Barbara ►Email. We arrange joint preparatory and debriefing weekends to discuss your assignment.
Why not take part in PEP! – our Professionals Exposure Program? During an assignment to a project run by one of our partner institutions, you will deepen your specialist knowledge and develop your intercultural social skills.
Have you already completed your vocational training, or graduated from your studies, and would you like to continue your education abroad? For six to twelve months, you can have the chance to get to know and participate in work for a project run by one of Mission 21's partner institutions in Africa, Asia or Latin America. We understand 'continuing education' as meaning that you are assigned your own task area, for which you will be responsible.
