    Youth Summit

online event in English on 5 June 2021

The Youth Summit brings together young adults from Switzerland and Mission 21 partner countries. Under the slogan "Yes, we care!", we are addressing our mental, spiritual and physical well-being in the midst of the pandemic and beyond. What can we do when we are all operating in crisis mode? Join the discussion, get expert inputs and participate in workshops.

    Youth Ambassador Program

As a youth ambassador, you'll meet other young people from all over the world, and you'll welcome them here in Switzerland. The Youth Ambassadors Programme brings young adults together from four continents (Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America).

In the first year of the two-year programme, European youth ambassadors travel to a Mission 21 project country in Africa, Asia or Latin America. In the following year, the youth ambassadors will host young people from that country. The participants will also be involved in the parliamentary structures of Mission 21 and experience the international community that unites Mission 21.

Update: Due to the Corona pandemic, the programme was extended by one year and vacant positions could be filled. All visits and return visits will take place in 2022. This means that both 18 young adults from Asia, Africa, Latin America will complete a visit to Switzerland and the young adults from Switzerland will travel in groups to Asia, Africa and Latin America in 2022. The current Youth Ambassadors programme will end in November 2022. We are already looking forward to receiving enquiries for the programme phase from 2023-2025: ► Email

Short assignments - Up and away

Take three months out to plunge into a project run by one of Mission 21's partner institutions, and gain enriching insights into social, cultural and religious facets of your host country.

Do you want to break away from your usual surroundings in Switzerland and experience a new way of living at first hand? On a short assignment, you'll discover what a foreign country is really like – away from the tourist hotspots. Are you open to new challenges (which could also be in a church context), are you between 18 and 22 years old, and do you speak adequate English? If so, please contact Barbara ►Email. We arrange joint preparatory and debriefing weekends to discuss your assignment.

PEP! – Continue your education abroad

Why not take part in PEP! – our Professionals Exposure Program? During an assignment to a project run by one of our partner institutions, you will deepen your specialist knowledge and develop your intercultural social skills.

Have you already completed your vocational training, or graduated from your studies, and would you like to continue your education abroad? For six to twelve months, you can have the chance to get to know and participate in work for a project run by one of Mission 21's partner institutions in Africa, Asia or Latin America. We understand 'continuing education' as meaning that you are assigned your own task area, for which you will be responsible.

There are no vacant positions at present.

Due to the current health situation, all PEP!-participants have returned home from their assignments.
