Everything about the "Standing up for a peaceful society" campaign, which focuses on peacebuilding in South Sudan, Nigeria and Indonesia, as well as an insight into the work of our partner organization in Bolivia, which uses prevention workshops to raise children's awareness of abuse.
Among other things, the current issue focuses on our campaign "Standing up for a peaceful society", which starts on September 7: We shed light on the importance of interfaith and transcultural cooperation for more peace and justice in South Sudan, Nigeria and Indonesia.
Wars, political tensions and social divisions are increasing worldwide. Peace processes are under threat, while millions of people are suffering from violence, displacement and insecurity. As part of our 2025 campaign, for example, we supported psychosocial support for people affected by violence in South Sudan, training for peace ambassadors in Nigeria and peace villages in Indonesia.
Also in this issue: Our Bolivian partner organization Fundación Machaqa Amawta (FMA) visits schools in disadvantaged districts of La Paz. The staff there talk to the children about topics such as violence, abuse and fear - gently, in a child-friendly way and with great effect.
