«Bible and Koran in Dialogue on the Climate Crisis» - an
international webinar

November 12, 2025, 12:30 to 14:00, on Zoom
holy scripture2

The climate crisis is far too big an issue to be left to science and politics alone. Many questions arise that also affect religion(s): How do we understand ourselves as human beings? What significance does nature have for us? What can and must we do?

Moderation and concept: Rev. Dr. Christian Weber, Mission 21
Short inputs and discussion in English, with simultaneous translation into German

At least four billion people around the world regard the Bible or the Koran as Holy Scripture. The way we understand their messages has a huge impact. Are they more likely to motivate us to withdraw from the world? Or to work for survival? What gives us hope?

Two recognized experts, a Christian theologian from Asia and a Muslim theologian from Africa, will talk about how they understand the Bible and the Koran in the current situation and in their contexts. A warm invitation to an intercultural exchange
