Missionaries, their wives and single women, so-called "sisters", traveled between continents as well as within Ghana, Cameroon, India and China. Employees from the Christian congregations there accompanied them on their domestic journeys and sometimes wrote reports about them. Some young men from Ghana, India and China traveled to Basel in the mid-19th century to train as missionaries. Using historical documents from the archives of the Basel Mission and Mission 21, we take you on a journey through time.
