Platform world view

April 23, 2026, 13:00 to 17:00, Frieden City Monastery, Bern
newsletter johanna drach no 2 scaled min

At the annual World View platform, church employees and other interested parties are given an insight into the wide range of services offered by Mission 21 for their own activities. The platform is based on Mission 21's campaign - this year on the topic of "Standing up for human rights: empowering people affected by violence, promoting self-determination". The campaign focuses on projects for the prevention of violence and for acute care and self-determination in Peru, Bolivia and Indonesia.

The World View platform uses the Mission 21 campaign to show participants how they can use Mission 21's services and resources to incorporate globally significant issues into their own work. An in-depth look at topics from international cooperation projects complements the practical input and highlights the importance of global perspectives.

The focus on violence prevention and self-determination is of great importance, as women, girls and LGBTQIA+ members experience oppression, discrimination and violence every day in all regions of the world. In patriarchal societies, solidarity support and structural change are therefore needed to bring about more protection and rights for those affected.

The platform Weltsicht is organized in cooperation with Refbejuso, in the Stadtkloster Frieden, Friedensstrasse 9, Bern
