Heidi Zingg Knöpfli, Director of Studies at Mission 21, kicked off the day with an exciting and informative input entitled: "It doesn't work without women". After that, the participants divided up into their chosen courses. These consisted of working out new handicraft techniques for bazaar work.
Lively conversations and beautiful craft ideas
In the courses, tiger bunting was knitted in several hours, beautiful roses were formed from colored paper yarn, funny animal motifs were dry felted and beautiful garlands were sewn from various paper. In between, there was a lot of laughter, chatting and discussion about new craft ideas.
The day always offers the opportunity to get in touch with other bazaar women, to exchange further ideas, new possibilities and insider bazaar knowledge. This was then also actively used during a fine and cozy lunch. The stand with the fair trade products from the mercifair store Basel provided a great change of pace after lunch.
Satisfied course participants
At the end of the day we could admire the products created in such a short time together. We ended the day with coffee and homemade cake. It was a happy group that met again in the Landeskirche Zurich. The atmosphere was great and we are looking forward to seeing this year's participants again next year.
A big thank you also goes to Therese Bommel and Elisabeth Spörri, who as volunteers always make sure that this day runs so successfully and smoothly.
