What do fondue pots, Hero tins in Ghana, or Swabian roof tiles in southern India have to do with Basel? On a guided tour of the Mission Trading Company’s collection, you’ll gain insight into Basel’s economic ties during the colonial era in the 19th and 20th centuries. Original documents and artifacts bear witness to how employees of the trading company conducted their business in Africa and Asia and what profits were generated in the process.
