Mission 21 Director Jochen Kirsch has been honored with the «Global Health Catalyst Distinguished Leader Award 2026.» Kirsch accepted the award on Saturday evening at the Global Health Catalyst Summit at Harvard University in Boston.
The jury thus recognizes Mission 21’s contribution as a faith-based organization dedicated to global health, sustainable development, and human dignity. In particular, the focus was on the interconnection of health, education, gender equality, livelihood security, and peacebuilding across national and cultural boundaries.
In his keynote address, Jochen Kirsch presented the collaboration with Global Health Catalysts, specifically regarding the development of the oncology platform «Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Cloud» (C4). The AI-powered platform provides patients and healthcare professionals—particularly in the Global South—with access to knowledge and treatment standards from leading cancer centers around the world.
«This award shows that Mission 21, together with its partner churches, is working to promote sustainable, holistic health for people amid all the global challenges,» Kirsch said in his acceptance speech.
