Emaús, Center for Spirituality

The Emaús Center is dedicated to the spiritual and practical counseling and accompaniment of victims of violence (of domestic as well as political-institutional violence). The victims are professionally advised and accompanied in the enforcement of the necessary legal steps and their consequences. Emaús is also active in training: The center trains people who work with victims of violence in their daily professional lives and conducts courses on non-violent communication and constructive conflict resolution in schools as well as various institutions. The counseling service of Emaús is mainly used by women and young people in family difficulties. Emaús maintains a counseling and accompaniment center both in Puno and in Lima.
