The Faculty of Theology of the Christian University Duta Wacana (UKDW) contributes to a pluralistic Indonesia through its Center for Religious Studies. The promotion of interreligious dialogue is the main focus and takes place, among others, in cooperation with the State Islamic University (UIN). This cooperation is a rarity. The joint study projects and study programs offer all students various interreligious topics and courses in comparative theology and religious and cultural studies. Mission 21 has been supporting the Center for Religious Studies located at UKDW since 2003 as part of the Peace Program. Also since 2003, Mission 21 has been working with the Center for Feminist Studies located at the UKDW Faculty of Theology. Another collaboration between Mission 21 and UKDW is the promotion of contextual theology and ecumenical and academic exchange. UKDW cooperates with twelve Indonesian churches and synods.
