As of September 2019, Rev. Jochen Kirsch will take over as director of Mission 21. Rev. Claudia Bandixen, who has led and stabilized the ministry since 2012, is retiring.
Today, Monday, September 2, the installation of the new director was celebrated with an aperitif in the Mission Garden. Karl F. Appl, Vice President of Mission 21 and President of the Basel Mission, welcomed Jochen Kirsch with words of confidence: "I am convinced that we have made the right choice!" Jochen Kirsch is a familiar face for Mission 21: He has worked in various capacities at the house for around fifteen years, from 2014 to 2019 as Head of International Relations.
Mission 21 would like to thank Claudia Bandixen once again for the successful, intensive time together - and the board and staff wish Jochen Kirsch a good start as director!
