In order to set a sign of hope and solidarity, the Swiss Bishops' Conference SBC and the Evangelical Reformed Church of Switzerland EKS are calling on everyone in a joint message to light a candle every Thursday at 8 p.m., place it visibly in front of the window and pray something, for example, for those who are ill with the virus, for those who work in the healthcare sector or for those who are particularly lonely in this crisis. This solidarity action will last until Maundy Thursday.
