Alliance 23

Alliance 23 is a legally registered network of 14 community-based organizations representing all regions of Cameroon. Founded in 2023 and headquartered in the coastal city of Limbe in southwestern Cameroon, the alliance serves as a platform for cooperation, coordination, learning, and joint action among its member organizations. Alliance 23 is currently led by its president, Rev. Dr. Mokake Paul.

Alliance 23 is a partner organization of Mission 21 and works together with its members to empower disadvantaged communities and improve the well-being and resilience of people throughout Cameroon. In line with its motto, «Synergy for Sustainable Development,» Alliance 23 operates on the conviction that meaningful and lasting change can be achieved by pooling the strengths, experiences, expertise, and resources of its member organizations.

The goal of Alliance 23: „We want to build resilient, empowered, and inclusive communities throughout Cameroon, where vulnerable and marginalized people have equal opportunities to improve their livelihoods, gain access to high-quality education and basic services, overcome trauma and social barriers, and actively contribute to sustainable development.“

Activities

Alliance 23 coordinates and supports community-based development initiatives aimed at improving the social, economic, and livelihood needs, as well as the educational and psychosocial needs, of vulnerable and marginalized people in Cameroon. With support from Mission 21, the member organizations carry out various projects, including educational scholarships and assistance with school attendance for internally displaced persons and disadvantaged children, trauma counseling, counseling and psychosocial support for victims of violence, and humanitarian aid.

These measures help build stronger, more resilient communities while promoting dignity, inclusion, and self-reliance.

Member Organizations

In total, „Alliance 23“ comprises 14 member organizations, including organizations already affiliated with Mission 21, such as AI-ChrisWoV, the Stucki Foundation Cameroon, and the Emmanuel Sisters.
