Whether organizing and running bazaars, cataloguing documents in the research archive or providing support in the office - all volunteers are an important part of Mission 21. We are particularly pleased with the joy and enthusiasm with which our volunteers support us and that they also get something back in return, as the statements of these three helpers show:
Irene Berner
fills the famous mission curry in cans and refill bags as a volunteer.
"I do my work for the people in Mission 21 projects, and a lot of things come back in the process: appreciation, encounters, relationships."
Ursula Schlatter
Supports Mission 21 as a volunteer, for example with office work and previously also at the bazaar
"I do a lot for others, but I also get a lot back. I have always enjoyed new activities. Instead of attending courses, I learn while I'm active, in contact with other people. At Mission House, I've learned a lot about global development cooperation and had exciting conversations with staff members."
Elisabeth miller
President of the Horgen Bazaar Group. The proceeds of the bazaar will benefit the work of Mission 21.
"It is important to us to support others. And the bazaar is always a celebration for the whole community. In addition to the bazaar association, many other groups participate. It's a huge effort, but it's a lot of fun."
If you would also like to volunteer for our projects, you will find here all information about it. We are grateful for any support!
