In Indonesia, too, people are suffering from the restrictions imposed by the measures against the spread of the Corona virus. In the Indonesian part of the island of Borneo, organizations from various religious communities have now carried out a relief operation in the major city of Banjarmasin.

LK3, a partner of Mission 21, is also involved in this "Interreligious Cooperation Forum". The Muslim organization works together with Christian churches in Indonesia to strengthen and promote peaceful coexistence between the different religions.

Food for the needy
On April 18, the Forum provided very concrete help. Members put together and distributed bags of basic foodstuffs: To street children and homeless people, to disabled people, widows and single parents, to poor people and to financially weak old people's homes.

The gratitude of the people for this donation was great. The partners of Mission 21 cannot continue various projects or can only do so to a limited extent because of the Corona crisis. They are now putting their commitment to their fellow human beings into practice in this way, thus setting a sign of hope.
