The FUNDAPIM Foundation provides emergency aid in Bolivia

The Corona crisis is also affecting poor people in Bolivia, who rely on their daily work to buy food. But Bolivia is currently in full quarantine. The government's measures are affecting people in different ways: Numerous people are without work and thus without bread. Farming families can continue to cultivate their fields, but in some cases access to markets has been completely eliminated, so that they can no longer sell their products. This is where the FUNDAPIM Foundation's emergency aid comes in. Two farming communities, where FUNDAPIM is already active with its project work, receive basic food and hygiene products from the foundation.

The goods were previously purchased and disinfected in the cities of La Paz and El Alto. No stops were made during the journey and the rules of Social Distancing were strictly observed during the handover.

Besides food such as rice, pasta, eggs, oil, tuna, chicken meat and sugar, liquid soap and alcohol solution was also distributed. The rations supplied will last for 14 days, i.e. until the end of April. The end of April is also the expected end of the full quarantine in Bolivia.
