Mission 21's Youth Ambassador Program, which brings together young people from all over the world, runs for three years at a time. At the end, we look back - and ahead: As of now, the Tender For the Youth Ambassador Program 2023-2025.
The Youth Ambassador Program offers young adults from Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America the opportunity to get to know each other, to explore pressing issues in a globalized world and to work together to find solutions.
A group of 18 young adults from 14 countries have been involved over the past three years, along with twelve youth ambassadors from Switzerland. They report on their experiences in the new issue of our magazine "begegnen".
"A young network that carries worldwide".
In the current issue, we present our worldwide youth network. In Mission 21's Youth Ambassador Program, exchange across borders becomes possible.
At the end of the program, the twelve Youth Ambassadors from Switzerland received the Certificate of Intercultural and Transcultural Competence, which was jointly awarded by Mission 21 and the IKF (Institute for Communication and Leadership, Lucerne) is issued.
The Youth Ambassador Program includes regular workshops and reflection in the area of inter- and transcultural competence, power structures, global contexts, as well as a 2-3 week visit to partner organizations in Asia, Africa or Latin America. Furthermore, the Swiss Youth Ambassadors acted as hosts for the Switzerland visit of the international Youth Ambassadors. We congratulate them on the certificate and thank all involved and very committed people who work for a fairer world. In the Youth Ambassadors program, they addressed difficult questions and also had to endure that there is not always a simple answer or solution.
The 2019-2022 international Youth Ambassador Program was launched by the Foundation Mercator Switzerland supported.
