Simone Dollinger, Program Manager Latin America at Mission 21, gives insights into her work during her time in Bolivia and Costa Rica, about farewells and new beginnings and about the cultural differences in social relations in Latin America and Switzerland in the kath.ch podcast.
Simone Dollinger lived with her husband Angel and their daughter Alma for nine years, first in Bolivia and then - on assignment for Mission 21 - in Costa Rica. Since September 2023, Simone Dollinger has been working at the Mission House in Basel as Program Officer Latin America for the areas of education, religion and development at Mission 21.
As a guest on the "Laut + Leis" podcast, Simone Dollinger talks about the challenges that life and work in Bolivia and Costa Rica brought for her and her family. She talks about her experiences of a successful mission in Costa Rica, about ecumenism in action and about the importance of making a new start together. Host Sandra Leis guides the conversation attentively and with intelligent questions.
According to its own description, "Laut + Leis", the kath.ch podcast, deals with relevant and current topics relating to religion, ethics and society. Host and producer Sandra Leis invites people to take part in conversations and debates "who engage with the world, think outside the box and have something to say." A new episode goes online roughly every two weeks.
